Dear 8th Grade Parents,
As the school year comes to an end, we would like to celebrate 8th grade scholars with a dinner on Thursday, May 21 at 4:45 p.m. in the Great Hearts Monte Vista North Large Dining Room. This will give our students an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company and reflect on their time as middle schoolers. **Please note, because this is an Early Release Day, students will need to leave campus entirely and come back at 4:45pm for the dinner.
Students will enjoy a formal dinner and dessert. As this is a parent-funded event, we kindly request that a payment of $20.00 be made by Friday, May 15 for an accurate head count.
Payment can be made here with a credit card. Be sure to include your student’s name in the payment notes.
Immediately following the dinner, the students will proceed to the Trinity Baptist Sanctuary for their Promotion Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Parents, please be aware that because of another event taking place at Trinity Baptist, doors will open at 6:15 p.m. for the Promotion Ceremony. The attire for the promotion can be found below. This is a formal dinner, and students should come dressed in their Promotion attire.
- Gentlemen should wear dress slacks, a dress shirt, a tie, dress socks, dress shoes, and sports coats/blazers are strongly encouraged.
- Ladies' dresses or skirts should be no shorter than the uniform skirt; bare midriffs are not acceptable. Ladies may not wear strapless, spaghetti-strap, or tank tops. Girls should wear dress shoes. Although dress sandals (open toed dress shoes) may be worn, flip- flops or "Y" strapped shoes are not permitted.
If you have questions about the dinner or promotion, please contact Mrs. Enochs.
