🚪 Decorate All The Doors!	DECORATE ALL THE DOORS A tradition at Lower School... before Teacher Appreciation Week, parents show up on campus to hang decorations for ALL THE DOORS for GHMVS teachers and staff. 🚨Super Important: Read EVERYTHING, ALL THE DETAILS on the sign up page 🚨*If your children will be on campus, they must be with you at all times (unless they are enrolled in and attending Athenaeum). Fun, colorful doors are guaranteed to make every teacher smile. The students love to have their classroom doors dressed up all week; it’s a great way to add joy to their learning environment and show how much GHMV teachers and staff mean to all of us. MONDAY, MAY 5
🚪Decorated Doors!	Teachers arrive on Monday morning to admire their newly decorated doors!
🍩 Donuts & Kolaches	Easing into the week, families donate kolaches and doughnuts by the dozen. Breakfast of champions!
TUESDAY, MAY 6
🍇 Fruit Cups	Families donate fruit trays or sliced and washed fruit. Parent leads will arrange a build your-own fruit cup station.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 7
🌮 Luncheon	The big day! Families donate drinks and other items. A catered Tex-Mex themed lunch will be served to teachers for Teacher Appreciation Day.
👩🏻‍⚕️School Nurse's Day!	Celebrate Nurse Moore! Bring some of her favorite things on Wednesday. Find her favorite things on the Lower School Favorites page.
THURSDAY, MAY 8
🛀🏻 Self-Care Station	Families donate travel size items donated (lotions, hand sanitizers, lip balm, nail polish, face masks, etc). Teachers will stop by the Self-Care Station to select 5 items to take home in a goody bag!
FRIDAY, MAY 9
🍿 Take-Home Movie Treats	Families donate microwaveable popcorn and boxed movie candy. Teachers will stop by to pick out a candy box to take home with their popcorn.
🎉 Teacher Raffle Day!	Families donate 2 gift cards/experiences valued at $50 or more (1 per campus). You can grab a friend or group and split the cost of gift cards between all of you. The teachers LOVED receiving their raffle winnings last year. If you know a business who will donate 2 gift cards or free passes, or have a favorite restaurant or retailer you'd like to highlight by donating gift cards for that establishment, please reach out to PSO (pso@ghmvpso.org).

🏆 Words of Affirmation	TEACHER TRIBUTES Ask your upper school student to fill out the form for teachers/staff they'd like to acknowledge. Parents can send one too. This is how you reach teachers. Fuel them with kind words and let them know that they are doing a great job. Many teachers are parents like us, many have taken on extra roles or lead clubs for our students. If they have made an impact, they should know. It's like a "customer survey" but these are nice messages and their customers are the students who know them; students are the reason they show up every day. Make them feel like the heroes they truly are. Online tributes will be printed on cards for distribution. Students may have an opportunity to handwrite cards during their lunch periods.
